It's not always food you're truly hungry for. And changing the size, shape or weight of your body is not the same as changing your relationship with your body. In our meetings, we get down to what the real barriers are to feeling comfortable in your skin and develop skills and resilience to support you moving in the direction of a life that feels aligned and lights you up.
My hope- Your societal BS barometer is going to go way up! It can be so hard to connect with yourself in a culture that does not celebrate body diversity and that is constantly sending mixed messages around body and health. Of course you’re confused.
It's ok if you don't know where to start- that's where I come in. Counseling is a collaborative journey and I am ready to get into this with you! Exploring a new relationship with your body is not about a quick-fix. We will be working to create sustainable, evolving practices that allow you to make informed and empowered choices for your life. Everyones' path and pace is different.

Before you know it, you’re craving those “forbidden foods.” Next thing you know - BINGE - you're elbow deep in that bag of cookies, chips, whatever. Then the shame rolls in ("What's wrong with me?") The cycle starts over.

It takes up so much of your brain space. You love it and hate it at the same time. Depending on what you eat you feel "good" or bad" about yourself. You go between feeling calm and “out of control.” There doesn't seem to be a balance.

I am licensed to provide counseling to residents of North Carolina. Sessions are currently Telehealth only through a confidential online video platform.
FINANCIAL INFO
I accept BCBS of NC
$125 per session for individual counseling.
Each session lasts for 50 minutes.
I have a few sliding scales spots.
